Butter Baby Baked Goods is a bakery born out of a love affair with down home cooking, and the passion project of Nicki Weaver. A local owned, woman run business right here in the 352.

“I've always said that I was "born a Grandma". My love for crafts, cooking, thrifting, and of course, baking runs deep. With no formal training and a deep reverence for well-loved and dog-earred recipe cards, I began obsessing over family recipes, church cookbooks, and potluck favorites at a very early age. Some of these classics are perfect just the way they are, like my Grandma Dorothy's Chocolate Cake (which I have been making since I was about 12 years old). I also adore finding ways to elevate recipes like my Brown Butter Choco Chippers (which I think are the perfect chocolate chip cookie).

I believe that using really high quality ingredients and doing a little extra research can change even the humblest of desserts into a fine dining experience worth every single calorie. While I do occasionally dive into classier baking such as laminated doughs, tiramisu's, and the like, I excel in the trashier (said with so much love!) down home faves.

I make sassy Grandma treats with bomb ingredients and very few changes from the church potluck dessert table. I believe in sharing recipes and supporting folks working to make our industry better.”
